Casper College is hosting the Wyoming Supreme Court for oral arguments in Timothy Hale and Sonja Ringen v. City of Laramie (Docket No. S-25-0095). The matter involves issues of injunction, planning, and zoning. We believe observation of oral arguments in this case will provide meaningful education value, including 1) exposure to appellate advocacy before the Wyoming Supreme Court; 2) analysis of legal arguments concerning injunctive relief and its standards; 3) insight into municipal planning and zoning law, including interpretation and application of local government powers; and 4) practical understanding of how the Court approaches statutory and constitutional considerations in land use disputes.
